I still can't believe he chose the girl with the muffin joke.

OK, fans, our crazy, absurd, ridiculous wonderful season of The Bachelor has come to an end. I for one, found the final special kind of sad. Not just because the show is over, but I always thought that these shows aired a longer time after all the events happened. But it seemed like it was all very fresh for them. Bevin still had a cast on her leg and tears in her eyes. Jeez - she got dumped, AND broke her ankle. Man, that sucks. And Amber still seemed kind of deluded as to how much of a connection she and Andy actually had. Danielle was true to form, being soft-spoken and understanding. Only Stephanie South Carolina (can the girl get a real name now?) seemed to have changed since the show. She acknowledged that she probably shouldn't have gossiped about all the other girls to Andy the way she did. She even said that she could see after watching that Andy had more connection with other girls. Wow! Did she actually gain a little maturity out of the process? (now if we can just get her to stop dressing like a prostitute...)

Not even crazy bug-eyed girl got a final word.
It was a real disappointment that they didn't bring back all the girls at the special this time. It's like they're trying to be a respectable show now or something! Come on! Not even the girls who lasted a little while, like Tina or Nicole? And didn't we all want to see the Barbie girls come back so they could say something really ridiculous? At the old "Women-tell-All" specials, they always showed all those wonderful unseen clips of the girls getting trashed and bad-mouthing each other. Oh well. I guess I respect ABC for trying to go legit this time around - sort of. I suppose Andy deserved it. We do have ourselves a pretty good man here. Or I should say, Tessa does. Those two do seem utterly delirious together. I give it six months. I believe in the magic of Hawaii. But will Tessa actually get to Hawaii? Did anyone else sense some hesitation on her part when she was saying she was moving? Or maybe it was that typical Tessa understated-ness we've come to know and love. It is just hard to get that girl to move quickly. She even had Andy echoing her favorite expression about taking "baby steps." I'm just not sure that's how he really works. And I don't know that Tessa is ready to uproot her whole life and run off to Navy paradise...
Finally, one last word about Bevin. I have so much respect for that girl and I don't think we've seen the last of her. The fact that she never felt the need to ask him why, because she understood that her focus should be on getting over him? I just think that is awesome.
Thanks SO much to everyone who visited the blog! Stay tuned soon for my thoughts on another reality fave, to be announced soon!!

I think that Bevin was once again milking that ankle...or she made it worse by not letting it heal properly.
My son had an x-ray and they said it might be a hairline fracture or it might just be badly sprained. So we had a cast put on just in case. If it were broken without a doubt, she would have had a cast from day one...ABC would not want to be sued...
I think Bevin took the high road with her attitude - good job Bev! However, what is with the ugly dress??
Can people get over the Bevin bashing already? He picked Tessa, you don't have to cut down Bevin any more. Bevin admitted that she still had strong feelings for Andy. Real feelings. I think that took guts. She never questioned his choice of Tessa, in fact, she seemed to support it by saying that Andy knew what he wanted going into to the show and that he's a smart guy that knew what he was doing. She didn't whine about not being chosen nor did she say anything negative about Tessa. Leave the woman alone now, PLEASE.
Why do people have to put in their snippy comments.. my husband this and my son that... are you a doctor? Is she your patient? She had a freaking cast on her ankle, it's broken. SO? How is that milking anything? And what's with the snipe about Bevin's dress? She wasn't wearing a dress. We get it. You don't like her. Move on.
Roemer, I'm with you. 6 months max. Reality will set in and it'll be over. I'd say the same had he chose Bevin, so it's nothing to do with either woman.
Weird show. Won't watch again. I think my favorite part was reading your blogs. What might you write about next?
Thanks so much, Anonymous (#2) - I feel like I know you already! I really appreciate all your support and all your great comments! It's been fun to hear a nubie's perspective on the show. I'm sad you won't watch it again but I totally understand. Also, I have to agree that all the Bevin-bashing seemed a bit harsh, but people are passionate about the show, and I'm right there with them. I hope you will keep supporting the blog - I'm leaning towards writing about Top Chef next? I always enjoy the show and it's starting soon...any other thoughts?
Frankly I didn't like the way Tessa was talking. She was making many pauses like she was choosing her words carefully. I doubt she was sincere and really in love. That's just my feeling, as a man, and I can imagine why Andy chose Tessa. He *thought* Tessa loves him after she said it and after she gave him that gift (smart move on a guy who wants a proof). And considering his feelings for Bevin were clouded somewhat because of her past unfortunate marriage, it's obvious that his reason (not his heart) inclined the balance in Tessa's favor. Big mistake, IMO, that's not love and it won't last, indeed.
Even though she's not my kind of woman, Bevin impressed me in the last episodes, as she revealed herself as a woman. And btw, in her last appearance she looked very feminine in that dress. I thought in that moment that's her best look ever in the show.
Needless to say, I really felt sorry for her sorrow when Andy gave her the bad news :(
Thanks for your comment, anonymous. The show is still on my mind too even though it's over. I'm sure we'll be hearing in approximately 6 months about their unfortunate break-up. I still say she never even gets to Hawaii.
By the way, has anyone seen Jen Scheff's book? It's something about how to know if a man is lying I think. I guess that's what twice around on the Bachelor taught her. Ouch.
Well, they've broken up already and he's dating Miss Somethingorother now. We were all correct in our prediction of 6 months max. Aside from Trista and Ryan, have any of the couples lasted?
